Job Title: Tax Associate
Location: Boston; Houston; Orlando; New Jersey
Department: Tax Services
Reports To: Tax Manager

Job Overview:
The Tax Associate will assist in providing comprehensive tax services for individuals, businesses, and organizations. You will be responsible for preparing tax returns, conducting tax research, and advising clients on tax laws and strategies. This position offers the opportunity to gain exposure to a wide range of tax-related tasks and build a foundation for a successful career in tax accounting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and other entities

  • Assist in tax planning and provide recommendations to clients to maximize tax savings and compliance

  • Conduct tax research on various tax-related issues and present findings to senior staff

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations by staying up-to-date with tax laws and regulations

  • Support clients during audits by providing necessary documentation and guidance

  • Collaborate with team members to deliver timely and accurate tax services

  • Assist with tax projections, extensions, and estimated payments

  • Maintain accurate records and documentation for all tax filings and correspondence

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CPA candidate preferred)

  • 0-2 years of experience in tax preparation or related work

  • Strong understanding of federal and state tax laws and regulations

  • Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word)

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks

  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment
